Gene17’s the River’s Source – a white water gathering
Dear Paddler,

We would like to invite you to Devon, to the River’s Source – a white water gathering.

Instead of a stuffy weekend of coaching talk, we’ve lined up the top providers, the best manufacturers and UK paddling’s movers and shakers to offer both unique and original clinics and workshops.

It’s a gathering for the whole white water scene and you’re invited to join in, contribute, shape outcomes or simply just listen and soak up all what’s on offer. See below for some of the fun you can join in.

RIVER CLEAN UP – DART & TAVY

Passionate about boating? Love paddling on Dartmoor? Wish to see our rivers clean and pristine? In recent months when paddling the Dart & Tavy, we’ve noticed litter that have been washed down the river, and also on the river banks at the put-ins and take-outs. Our aim is to spend a day descending the rivers picking up the litter on route. Whilst on the trip we will paddle some of the finest WW UK has on offer. See the River’s Source Facebook Event Page for details.

FREE SATURDAY EVENING WORKSHOPS & LECTURES

In addition to the day and half-day workshops, we’ll have 2 sessions of FREE Saturday evening lectures.

The Saturday evening programme is currently still being built, it will include the Palm Throw Bag Olympics, AS Watersports Boat repair Workshops, an outfitting clinic with Pyranha and many more, and it’s all for FREE.

We have a key note speech too, plus the Charvals, a local band performing.

CHANGE YOUR OUTFITTING, CHANGE YOUR PERFORMANCE

Dan Butler of Team Pyranha presents a FREE clinic on Outfitting – How it affects your posture, power transfer and performance. Good connection to your kayak is essential to give you good posture which in turn will give you the best power transfer and engagement to drive your kayak efficiently. Pyranha team coaches will guide you through boat set up and take you onto the water to see how adjustments affect your performance.

As you see, it’s a full programme and there is so much more online at the River’s Source website. The booking have only been open since the beginning of the month and some clinics are already near FULL, so if you wish to join us, please book soon!
